A child theme for Divi called “Elegant” caught my eye the other day and I fell in love!

As a pastel, or as a vibrant scheme, “Elegant” could be a perfect theme for your photography, virtual assistant or author website.

It starts with a subtle secondary menu with small social icons, followed by a centred header and simple menu.  A large image space comes next with a call to action button.

Social icons show up again under the main image, in the same small and subtle way as they do in the secondary nav.

The next section has three images for Portfolio, Blog and Services, all with subtle hover overlays that feel clean and minimal.

An “about me” section follows, with space for an introduction to you or your business, as well as space for a large headshot.

Next is a “get in touch” section with a large background image which again offers minimal and subtle transitions of the “submit” button.

This is followed by a space for your three (or any number you’d like really) latest blog posts, which are styled with your featured image, content excerpt and more subtle hover styles and borders.

Grab your client testimonials and add them to the next section to show off what your clientele think of you!  Follow it up with a feed from your Instagram account and a minimal footer with your social icons again.

The Services page is next with a full-width header, three blurbs and a contact form.  “Elegant” also comes with demo content, to show you around the theme and pages.

There are three options built in for your Portfolio – a slider, a masonry layout or a simple layout and all three are beautifully done and, again, minimal.  Quiet About and Contact pages are also included.

For your Blog page, four layout options are included.  These are Grid with Sidebar, Grid, Full-Width with Sidebar and Full-Width.  All are clean and feel very light and not overdone.

All-in-all I find Elegant thoughtful, subtle and minimal in style.  There are no flashy effects to bog down your site and things appear well thought out and simple.
